scribbles

I get bored. I scribble/doodle. This time I tried to make something out of it. Kind of fun.

spray paint on paper

Some new work. I never thought I would be interested in spray paint, but here is the proof. Evan thinks they suck, but I am into them. Evan eats his own feces for those that didn't know.

paper encouragement

My friend Joel has had some design confidence problems lately. This was intended to cheer him up as well as provide encouragement.

Sorry about the shit photo.

Boredom

Stock Image Fun. I am bored—give me a break.

I stumbled and fell on Memory Ln.

I was going through a never ending stack of paper and random prints only to come across some postcards I made for art/design shows. The first postcard was for Jessica Fisher. For her senior show she painted candy from the vending machine at school. (note: I lived off of Pop Tarts from the vending machine) She couldn't come up with a name she liked for the show, so I had her make a list of potential titles. We settled with “senior exhibition” and the list became the background of the card. The vending machine on front is from a t-shirt she painted with puffy paint.

The type became the model for anyone else asking me to create their senior exhibition cards. I used that type lockup at least 3 times. I was graduating too, I didn't have time for everyone, and it worked.

This was the show card for my senior exhibition. They were screen-printed. I think I could print them much better now.

new poster

I had some screens coated, so I figured I would make a random poster. My laser printer needs toner, so i cut the positive out of a screen (plastic screen for a screen door) I picked up at lowes.

mailart

Since I started my internship, I began creating postcards when I have spare time (lunch or at night after work). I have been somewhat lazy, but have created about 7 or so. 3 or 4 of which went to Jenny Ross in Philly. She sent me some kickass mailart last summer. I was amazingly lazy and didn't begin to return the favor until recently. She set the bar very high with her drawing. This is the most recent postcard I sent out today. I don't know that I can ever be even, so I may continue to send Jenny random postcards until I eventually pass away or lose a limb.

threads update

So this is the updated threads logo. I am still trying to figure out the typography. I have a few okay solutions, but nothing I am excited about. I will keep at it.

Yeah, I like that color green for some reason.
